They're great. Is the translation OK? I've heard some bad stuff about some of the translations.

When was this one translated?

I think Linnéa has a "Simple Doesn't Mean Easy" t-shirt.

Ah. Earlier attempt at comment swallowed...

Translator for this one is Thomas Warburton, and this is a late Puffin edition from the original 1963 translation by him. It seems fine to me, your mileage may vary.

Ah, Warburton. No, that should be more than OK. He's one of the great translators between Swedish and English.

Looking at Wikipedia, I see he is still alive. Good god, he made his name in the 1940s!

I adore Moonintrolls and I still re-read them occasionally. I think my favourite is Moominland Midwinter.

I bought our little grandson his first Moomintroll book as an Easter present in lieu of a chocolate egg. He's just about old enough to have the stories read to him.
