Those Books

Well the six I _haven't_ read are:
14. Radix, by A.A. Attanasio
35. In Conquest Born, by C.S. Friedman
41. Cosm, by Gregory Benford
52. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson (or at least I don't remember reading it - I might have done)
83. Upanishads, by Various
90. Ralph 124C41+, by Hugo Gernsback (tried once...)

I thought that wasn't a bad list, given the artificial cut off at one hundred: I'd only throw about ten off on a first pass (and those ten would include all the above six, just to illustrate some of my prejudices, with ). I'd probably have more or different Delany (Dhalgren is wonderful but I'd put Nova or Babel 17 or The Einstein Intersection first on a list of SF novels). I'd take Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy over Ben Bova's Mars. I'd want Picnic on Paradise by Joanna Russ, and Pavane by Keith Roberts, and The Dark Light Years by Brian Aldiss. And if Ellison can have a short story collection why can't William Tenn or R.A. Lafferty just for starters?

A fun game! No definite conclusion possible.
