Today...

A 12-minute phone call to British Gas results in: their refunding £1.10, rescinding their attempted recent increase of £22 a month, and cutting our monthly direct debit by a further £6 in recognition of our actual consumption pattern rather than their mythical assumptions.

They always try to increase the direct debit to a higher figure than they can justify, and always reduce it again when challenged. They are always very nice about it and they never stop doing it.

No, we don't see any point in switching.

In other news, three apparent job opportunities have evaporated.

Now we're off to see the Christmas fireworks (natch!)
