Molly Gloss - The Dazzle of Day (1997)

This is a very good book. I came to it via Jo Walton's What Makes This Book So Great, and I am very glad I did. Jo was rereading it for the first time. It will well bear rereading, if I ever get round to that.

Brief summary: Twelve short chapters, each from the viewpoint of a different character involved in various stages of the journey of a generation starship – the Dusty Miller - from Earth to another world.

Everyone who ever wanted a starship should read this.

I can’t understand why I had never heard of it until Jo told me. This should be on evryone's shelves alongside LeGuin and Aldiss.

I have that on my To Buy and Read list, but still haven't got around to it. I am such a slow reader these days. :(

I read it back in the '90s! But then I hung around more reading people and venues for book discussion. Also buying more books, when it comes to that. (I'm on the mailing lists for four genre book groups, and I actively attend two of them.)

I too remember that it was pretty damn good.
