Mum and I are sitting in a Dorchester hospital day room waiting for my Dad. It has been lovely to spend a summer day with Mum: we've picked peas, potted clematis and
walked by the Frome river. Horrible to wait and wait and not know what best to do or where to go. The details are too sad and boring and horrible. I'm lonely and sad. There is nothing I can do except be here, and most of the time I can't even do that.

Thank you for listening. The sun will shine again tomorrow.

B told me a little of the situation last night; I hope that all goes well and things eventually turn out to be less serious than you fear.
