Reminded last night I hadn't posted results from last week's interview.

The good news: I got feedback - mostly in my line of business you just get silence.

The bad news: the feedback felt I lacked experience in an area they hadn't asked any questions about so 'not proceeding'

Possible interpretations:
- I do in fact lack the experience to the extent that I can't do the job and they inferred this indirectly/telepathically
- they fucked up the interview by not asking direct questions in that area and can't admit it (and yes, I did ask the 'is there anything else I should tell you' question)
- someone just didn't like me but they can't say so
- something else was going on which was nothing to do with me

In any event  there's nothing I can do about it except make a note to enhance the 'is there anything else' question with 'could we discuss this particular area a bit more'.  I would have liked the job but find myself unbothered. There'll be another one along in a minute.

Interestingly, when I told an agent this morning I had been made redundant in May his first response was 'so are you taking the summer off or are you looking?' I'm not the only person relaxed about jobhunting it seems.

What a shame. I hate it when there's a hidden agenda in interviews, it's so unfair to the candidates and a waste of everyone's time.
